Thanks for mentioning Pantograph!  We&#039;re hard at work on another version that removes all of the external dependencies besides Cairo (which is necessary for the SVG output).

One note - there are actually a number of different line attributes that can be fine-tuned after rendering (silhouette, crease, mesh, etc).  Because I knew we could never make very good speed with a renderer written in Python, I opted for as much configurability as possible - once the rendering work has been done, the user should be able to tweak as much as possible, and then repeat those results.

As always, suggestions and bug reports are welcome!
