Like nearly everyone and their dog I use both Twitter and Facebook. Just like the migration from Myspace to Facebook I’ve noticed that a few people are abandoning their Facebook account for Twitter but still keeping the former account active and porting their tweets automatically to their Facebook account. This is fine and dandy if the account holder still maintains the conversation in both services. Rarely do I see this and some of my friends’ facebook accounts are just endless streams of ported tweets
In effect what you have is people needlessly duplicating their content just so that they can be part of many social networking sites and have their voice ‘heard’. It’s creating noise and lots of it.
On my travels I came across this blog, mostly because of their post about tem leaving Linux (I think they’ve since returned). I wanted to see their latests posts but found that the most recent ones were just collections of their daily tweets. So, I went to their twitter account and found that all of their tweets wrere just reposts of their blog posts about their daily collection of tweets! ENDLESS RECURSION!!!
So, to highlight these people who insist on trying to be everywhere at once I created Hello Green World, who you can also follow on twitter. All it does is constantly repost the default “Hello World” blog post.
To get the tweets posted to the blog I use Loud Twitter and to get the blog posts tweeted I use Twitterfeed.
The aim of this? To annoy and educate. There’ll be one post a day, unless Loudtwitter lets you ship more than one post a day. It’ll be going for as long as it can or until either Twitter, loudtwitter, twitterfeed or WordPress shut down the account (please don’t!)

It doesn’t seem to be recursing!
Any decent wordpress plugin will track and not go into infinite loops. Twitter Tools is what I use on my blog, and it works well.
The next post is in 5 hours time
Also, I’m on a wordpress.com account so any plugins are pretty useless to me
