Whenever I’ve come across open source audio programs on people’s computers it’s always the same two, Audacity and VLC. Those two are great if you just want to play media files and do sound editing but what about composing full songs? That’s where I found Linux Multimedia Studio to be quite useful. It’s been compared to the likes of FL Studio (or Fruityloops) and for a good reason.
So far I’ve found it to be a really good program, despite not being at version 1 yet.
I’ve yet to make a full song in it, but that’s down to my knowledge of audio!
