The Algorave Collective returns to the North East for the 4th year running to present an eclectic mix of live code-generated EDM and visuals. This year in a special Chemical Algorave edition, algoravers will team up with scientists from Newcastle University to integrate chemical structures into their sets.

The Algorave is part of ‘Molecular Soundscapes’ a collaborative project between artist Shelly Knotts and chemist Agnieszka Bronowska, exploring the potential of manipulating chemical data into sound patterns and structures.

Algoraves embrace the alien sounds of raves from the past, and introduce alien, futuristic rhythms and beats made through strange, algorithm-aided processes. It’s up to the good people on the dancefloor to help the musicians make sense of this and do the real creative work in making a great party.
