For a live radio broadcast and performance on Cashmere Radio and Montez Press Radio, Hannah Sawtell presents MAYDAY: RADIO RAUM, which will revisit a work she made 10 years ago, MAYDAY:THE BOOTH (The Clocktower Radio, New York, 2012). This audio work will be re-contextualised for May Day 2022 in Berlin. 50 collaborators have been asked to respond to what the word Mayday means to them, and to do this through sound. All contributors will be announced prior to broadcast and each contribution will be edited and mixed live by Hannah.

International Workers’ Day, also known as Labour Day in most countries, often referred to as May Day, is a celebration of workers and the working classes that is promoted by the international labour movement and occurs every year on 01 May.
Hannah Sawtell is an artist working with sound, video, collectively built app development, installation, performance, radio and sculpture.
