Edited arts presents: Radiophonic
A tribute to the BBC Radiophonic Workshop on its 60th anniversary
A day and night event – a mini-festival – at Down Lane Studios, a brand new multi-functional 400 capacity ex-industrial space in Tottenham.
Live musicians, DJs, talks, workshops, film screenings and multi-disciplinary artworks.
A visual remix of Dark, Eerie and Manic, a collaboration with Alex Juno of Elmo Sexwhistle.
This time I utilised an unmodified Panasonic WJ AVE5 together with some computer-based glitches.
With my hardware now fully functioning I’ll be providing visuals for the awesome Alex Juno (of Elmosexwhistle) at 8 Bit Lounge at the Hare and Hounds on 13th August (yeah, I know it’s late notice).
The event starts at 8pm, is free, and, in addition to awesome performances, will feature the usual assortment of retro console games!
The first output of my circuit bending the VEC1070 comes in the form of this collaboration – me on visuals – with Alex Juno (of Elmo Sexwhistle)
For the input I rendered a translucent green triangle onto the screen in Pure Data. The rest is just adjustments in the contrast (in Pure Data and on the VEC1070) and twiddling of some knobs.
I sense this circuit-bending is the start of something good…
